Go Secure (HTTPS Available)

PotentialGames.com can now be accessed via secure url: https://www.potentialgames.com/

The SSL certificate is currently self-signed (not signed by a certificate authority your browser is aware of), so you will get a browser-dependent warning message. You may proceed in one of the following ways:

  1. Presume no one is maliciously attempting to interject their own certificate, and accept the warning.
  2. Verify the SHA1 certificate fingerprint is: B7:C7:35:8C:08:E5:25:A4:C6:A1:30:F4:71:3E:AB:93:76:AA:01:9A
  3. Be supremely paranoid and contact me personally on a trusted channel to verify the above fingerprint.
  4. Wait for me to pay a member of the certificate authority cartel to bless my self-signed certificate, effectively bribing your browser to look the other way.

When browsing under HTTPS, it is possible to navigate back out to an HTTP page, thus leaving the secure session behind. Most services under potentialgames.com appear to retain proper HTTPS links (including these forums). The WordPress-powered blog is the notable exception, as it generates links absolutely, back to the HTTP URL.

HTTPS is mostly desirable for these forums, to protect your login information. Use it at your own discretion (or don't use it, at your own risk).
